Measures the entire Facebook network (721 million users, 69 billion edges) and finds an average distance of only 4.74 — the 'four degrees of separation'. This empirical evidence that the world's largest social network has a tiny diameter directly supports STRATA: since STRATA excels when d is small, it is optimal for networks at the scale of humanity.
